Obituary for Mary Elizabeth “Bette” Woods (Ryan) Print Mary “Bette” (Ryan) Woods, 95, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Wethersfield, loving wife to the late John R. Woods, peacefully passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, at Newington Rapid Recovery Rehab Center. Mary was born May 26, 1923, and raised in Hartford, daughter to the late William J. and Mary (Carey) Ryan. Mary attended Hartford Schools, graduating from Bulkeley High School, class of 1942.

Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed by the Travelers Insurance Co. Mary will be deeply missed by her loving family, a sister Nancy Doyle of Wethersfield; several nieces and nephews, Sandra Hodge, Joel Ryan, John and Robert Mulcahy, Ned, Peter, John, James and Paul Doyle. In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her two brothers, the Honorable William J. Ryan Jr., and Robert Ryan and her sister Jane Mulcahy. Friends and relatives may pay their respects Thursday, February 7th from 8:30 – 9:30 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd.

, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Interment will follow the Mass in Rose Hill Memorial Park. To extend online condolences and/or share a memory, please visit farleysullivan.com.
