Josette Lyn “Fuzzy” Winslow-Oxendine, 41 of Society Hill, SC Sunrise September 18, 1977 – Sunset February 23, 2019 Josette passed away tragically and unexpectedly in the early hours of February 23, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Winslow Jr., brother, Jamie Thomas Travis, sister, Holly Nalepa, god-mother Marla Gabriel, mother-in-law, Debra Ann Oxendine, grandfather-in-law Ronald Chapman and step-father Randy Vanderpoel. She was survived by her husband “Huz” Roger Oxendine Jr., sons, Ronald (Jina) Hyde II, Ian (Maquitta) Palmatier, and Talon Rion Oxendine, mother Marion R. Nalepa, sisters, Jeana Denny, Jonna (Wayne) Shuck, Marianne (Jim) Thomas, Karastin Nalepa, brothers, Dan (Cheryl) Travis, Robert (Kim) Nalepa Jr., Derek (Ashley) Nalepa, and two grandchildren Alayah May Hyde and Hayden Perry Palmatier.

Josette was eagerly awaiting the arrival of two other grandchildren who will be remised to never know the depth of her love and devotion. Rhyan Michael Sawyer Hyde born February 26, 2019 and Luna Lynn due to arrive July 1. Father in law, Roger Oxendine Sr., Bryan Chapman, brother-in-law, close aunt Rhonda Chapman Lindsey.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends near and far whom she loved dearly and held close to her heart. Josette’s larger than life spirit touched all who knew her and she will be forever missed by us all. Josette had a love for singing whether during karaoke, an open mic night, at a party, or just whenever she was moved to do so.

Her mere presence was uplifting. She loved to tell jokes, and her “Peter Griffin” laugh was contagious. She always said today was the best day of my life”.

She lived life to its fullest and our lives were enriched having had her beautiful soul touch each of us. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.
