Joyce A. (Barris) (Demers) Hay, 67, passed away Oct. 3, 2018. A lifelong resident of Brockton and graduate of Brockton High School in 1969, she was retired from Stop & Shop after a career as a produce manager which began at Purity Supreme.

Joyce enjoyed gardening, birdfeeding, casino trips, sunning at the beach and Brockton Senior Center activities. She was the beloved wife of William Hay for 10 years; loving mother of Lisa Demers-Larocque (and Lance Larocque) of Fairhaven and Kristin Demers (and Jason Fernandes) of Summerville, SC, Scott Hay of Abington and Keith Hay (and Kristen) of Marshfield; grandmother of Darius, Jarod, Demitri, Jacob, Jadyn, Samantha, Emily and Ryan; great-grandmother of Isaiah and Elijah; sister of John Barris (and Janice) of Braintree, Marcy Smith (and Ted) of New Bedford, and Wally Barris (and Carmela) of Brockton; aunt of Joseph and Kimberly Couto; and great-aunt of Olivia Stear and Mario Couto. .

All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
