Joyce’s Obituary Joyce Ann Williams, 64, devoted follower of Jesus, went home to be with her Lord at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. Joyce was born in Seaford, DE on May 7, 1954 to Collia Samuel Morris and Helen Etta (Lewis) Morris. On August 25, 1973, she married her childhood sweetheart, Charles (Ed) Williams, and together they had two children, Chris and Lisa.

Joyce attended Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown, DE where she studied to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her career in the medical field spanned 44 years with service at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Joyce’s faith in Christ played an important part in her life.

She actively served in many capacities at her church over the years. Her involvements included a traveling singing ministry, children’s ministry director, choir member, praise team participant, and food pantry kitchen director. In her spare time, Joyce was an avid reader and lover of Hallmark movies.

She kept an immaculate house and particularly enjoyed decorating her front porch. She was also known for her ability to cook a great meal and feed an army. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was affectionately known as “Grammy J” to her seven grandchildren. Her heart and home were always open, and she faithfully prayed for each child and grandchild. Her memory, love, and example of a life well lived will be treasured by her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ed, Millsboro, DE; son, Chris (Marietta) Williams, Marion, IN and daughter, Lisa (Chris) Taylor, Farmington, NY; brother, Ed (Kathy) Morris, Newark, MD; grandchildren, Sean Williams, Anika Williams, Elliot Williams, Madison Taylor, Silas Taylor, Isabella Taylor, and Emerson Taylor; niece, Amber (Joe) Moseley and nephew, Joshua Morris; other relatives, in-laws, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, James (Jimmy) Morris. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A., 1618 West Road, Salisbury, MD.

Joyce’s celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, 217 Beaglin Park Drive, Salisbury, MD, where family and friends may also call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Reverend Mark Bunting will be the officiating pastor. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Laurel, DE.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Adopt-a-Block Ministry of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church.
