Joyce Ann Lehman, age 75 of Perham, MN passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 in Perham Living under the care of Red River Valley Hospice. Joyce was born July 11, 1942 in Bancroft, IA the daughter of Sylvester “Lefty” and Donna (Claeys) Govern. She grew up in Perham and married Wayne Blaze Lehman on October 30, 1959 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church.

They were blessed with two sons: Scott Blaze and Jeffry Wayne. Joyce, Wayne and Scott lived in Fargo, ND until 1973. During this time, Joyce worked at the Holiday Inn and Oak Manor.

While living in Perham, she worked at Swifts in Frazee, MN for 10 years and she eventually retired from Barrel O’ Fun after 30 years of service. Joyce enjoyed her volunteer work over the years. She was a volunteer at St. Henry’s Church, was a 4-H Leader, and helped with Cub Scouts.

Joyce was on the board of the roller skating rink in Perham and was a greeter at Perham Health until February of 2018. Joyce loved to be with friends, go shopping and have meals together. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the biggest joy in her life.

She would often say they were “the apple of her eye”. Surviving Joyce is her husband Wayne; her sons Scott (Denise) and Jeffry Lehman; her grandchildren Kateri (Duane) Keppers, Heather (Cody) Lehman, Harley (Tyson) Splane, Christopher (Ashley) Lehman, Devon Buchanan and Dani Mae Lehman; her great-grandchildren Christopher Jace Lehman, Mason Lehman, Remi Van Cleef, Aiden Splane and Wyatt Splane; and her sister Sandra (Richard) Howell. Preceding Joyce in death were her parents; and her great-grandson Caleb Van Cleef.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:00 on Monday, May 21 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will resume from 10:30-11:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:30 on Tuesday, May 22 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
