Joyce E. Bergeron, 81, of Viola, Illinois died April 10, 2018 at Aledo Rehab and Health Care. Private graveside services will be held in Viola Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be left for Mercer County Animal Shelter and directed to Dennison Funeral Home, PO Box 194, Viola, IL 61486.

Joyce was born April 13, 1936 in Springfield, Mass the daughter of Roger and Ethel Hall Flynn. She married Carl Schneckloth from Viola; together they had 3 children Mary, Carl and Pamela. She later married Ray Bergeron, he preceded her in death.

Joyce belonged to the Viola American Legion Auxiliary and St. John’s Catholic Church, Viola. She enjoyed crafting, dancing and bird watching. Survivors include her children: Mary (Alan Snyder) Schneckloth of Viola, Carl (Laura) Schneckloth of Indiana and Pam (Tony) Redpath of Viola; 6 grandchildren and sister: Joan (Jim) Bennett of North Haven, CT.
