Joyce Colleen Forrester Hall, 86, of Clemson Area Retirement Center, Clemson, SC passed away Thursday morning, July 12, 2018. Joyce was born in Taylors, SC, February 02, 1932, to Rev. John Grady and Ruth Moon Forrester.

As the young daughter of a Methodist minister, she lived in many areas of South Carolina, including Greenwood, where she graduated from high school in 1950, along with her future husband, Richard K. Hall, Sr. Joyce’s life was a reflection of her love and faith in God. … Read More » This was evident daily as she loved and cared for her husband, children and grandchildren and extended family and friends. Joyce attended Anderson College and studied nursing.

She loved her time spent working with the St. Paul United Methodist Church Pre-School and Spartanburg Day School. Joyce was a member of the Clemson United Methodist Church. In addition to her loving husband of 67 years, Richard K. Hall, Sr., of Clemson Downs, Joyce is survived by her children Rick (Cathy) Hall of Clemson, Julie Hall (Ron) Huber of Pendleton, and Angela Hall Durr of Brentwood, TN.

She is also survived by grandchildren Hunter (Mary Ann) Priester, Will Hall, Zach Huber, Erin Huber, Ashley (Collin) Harter, Jon Durr, Nick Durr, Matthew Durr and great grandson, Elijah Priester. She is also survived by sister, Evelyn Forrester Freeland and, brother, John Forrester and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, and brother, Gerald Forrester.

Funeral Services will be at 4 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, Greenwood, SC. Burial to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood, SC. The family will receive friends at 2 to 3:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 66, Ninety Six, SC 29666 or Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
