Joyce’s Obituary Joyce M. Comunale, 90, of Bangor, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 12th, at her residence. Joyce was born in North Bangor, PA on April 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Earl and Edith (Williams) Fenner. She was the widow of the late Joseph P. Comunale, who passed away in 2002.

Joyce was employed as a seamstress at various garment mills in the slate belt area until retiring in 1991. She was a member of UNITE, the garment workers union. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor, PA.

Joyce is survived by three daughters, Debbra Hughes, Connie Silvius, wife of Wayne Valerie J. Costella, wife of Bob, a son, Craig Hughes, husband of Brenda, two sisters, Diane Hahn, and Alice Serfass, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, & 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Dennis Comunale, and two brothers Wallace & Granville Fenner. A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. ” Village of Johnsonville” Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2445 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA 18013.
