Morgan, 83 of Lampasas, TX died Friday morning March 8, 2019 at a local nursing home. She was born November 28, 1935 in Burnet, TX to parents Charles Montie Dodd and Annie Nora (Newsom) Dodd. She married David Morgan.

Joyce had lived the majority of her life in Austin, where she owned and operated a Dog Training Center for many years. She had over 30 years experience training and showing dogs. She earned 5 Obedience Trial Champions and the first Utility Dog Excellence Title in Austin.

As and AKC Judge, she traveled all over the US judging obedience dog trials. She was a member of Lampasas Baptist Church. Joyce is survived by Son, David Morgan Jr. Daughters, Patricia Glenn (Ricki) Bobbie Johnson (Sammy) 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, by 3 brothers, one sister and by granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson. Funeral service will be Wednesday March 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
