Obituary of Joyce Dietrich Joyce A. (Bailey) Dietrich, 66, of Maidencreek Twp, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Reading Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 1, 1951 in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marguerite (Mease) Bailey. She and her husband, Robert L. Dietrich, would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on June 20th.

Bob and Joyce were married on June 20, 1970 in Maidencreek Church, Blandon. Joyce was a mail specialist for Pitney Bowes for 26 years. She also worked at Nichols Department Store, Muhlenberg Twp.

Joyce was an active member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, where she was a communion assistant coordinator, a member of the altar guild, bell choir and Overtime staff and an office assistant. Joyce graduated from Fleetwood Area High School in 1969. Joyce was a fighter and she was instrumental in the annual Relay for Life.

She was the organizer and chief fundraiser working to knock out this horrible disease. Most of all, Joyce enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband, Bob, are her two daughters, Melissa D. (Dietrich) Reed, Sisterville, WV and Jennifer J. (Dietrich) Weyman, wife of Jeffrey M. Weyman, Sinking Spring, her grandchildren, Chelsea, Jessica, Jocelyn, Tauteyanna, Carly and Taylor, her great-grandchildren, Lylah, Aryana, Raye-Lynn and Ivy, her sister, Sandra L. (Bailey) Stern, wife of David Stern, Fleetwood and her brother, Lynn A. Bailey, husband of Lois (Moyer) Bailey, Effort, PA.

Memorial services for Joyce will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 117 E. Arch St, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am Saturday at the church. Contributions to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 117 E. Arch St, Fleetwood, PA 19522 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o St. Paul’s Relay for Life Team, 117 E. Arch St, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
