He was born on July 7, 1955, son of Jose Benito and Eloisa (Perez) Gomez. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Guadalupe Gomez; sons, George Gomez and Juan A. Gomez; daughters, Rosemary Veronica Gomez, and Jessica Garcia, brothers, Ramiro Gomez, Oscar Gomez, David Gomez, Joe Gomez, Eloy Gomez; sisters, Maggie Gomez, Angie Gomez and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Sebastian Guadalupe Cemetery, Sebastian, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home 604 W. Hidalgo Ave.
