Juanita Dacus ALVIN – Mrs. Juanita Dacus passed from this life Sunday morning, September 16, 2018, in Alvin, Tx. Juanita was born June 24, 1953 in Lubbock, Tx. It was there that she met and married her loving husband, Frank, on February 25, 1985.

Together they moved to Texarkana and eventually settled in Alvin in 1990. Juanita was a dedicated sales associate at Stein Mart for 17 years. She fit right in to the department store culture since shopping was her passion.

She was always thinking of others and therefore a good portion of her pay check usually didn’t make it out of the store because she would spend it on gifts and knickknacks for her friends and family, no matter what the occasion. She had a giving heart and a kind soul that can never be replaced. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fidel and Florentina (Villarreal) Gonzalez, Sr. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Frank Dacus; son, George G. Chapa; daughter, Nancy Dacus; stepson, Aaron Dacus and wife, LaJarra; stepdaughter, Kristina R. Westgard and husband, Bobby; brothers, Gilbert Gonzales and friend, Ramona, Jesse Gonzales and wife, Mary, Fidel Gonzales, Jr.; sister, Blanca Dresback and husband, Marv, sister-in-law, Denise Via and husband, Randy, LaDonna “Donna” Hogue and husband, Greg; Judy Bybee and husband, Bill; 4 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and the family yellow lab.

, Duke. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
