Judith Lyn Close June 6, 1955 – March 11, 2019 Judith Lyn Close, 63 loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 11, 2019 with loved ones by her side. Judy had been struggling with health problems and passed away due to liver cancer. She was born in Inglewood, California on June 6, 1955 to Marlowe Newkirk and Marlene Owen.

She met her husband Dickie C. Close while attending Brigham Young University. They married on August 16, 1974 in the Manti, Utah temple. Together they had six beautiful children.

Judy graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree as a registered nurse. She specialized in neonatal and labor and delivery, and was selected as a top nurse in Ogden by the International Nurse’s Association. She also completed certifications in craniosacral and therapeutic massage.

She loved sewing, doing genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren. Judy formed many lasting relationships from junior high classmates, coworkers and members of her church. She is survived by her husband, Dickie C. Close.

She is survived by six children: Crystal D. Molen, Clark H. Close, Amber M. Kirkham-Close, Adam D. Close, Ivory L. Close, and Breann J. Sill; and 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family would like to express thanks to neighbors Lee Richard and Jeff and Patty Camp for their love and concern over the years. Friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of life service 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Uintah 2nd ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 6660 S. 1770 E., Uintah, UT.
