Massie, Judith M. 78, of Springfield passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 in her home. She was born August 4, 1940 in Syracuse, NY the daughter of Myron and Emily (Osmond) Gates. Judith retired from Sharonview Nursing Home.

She was an avid Bingo player, mostly at Elderly United. She is survived by three children Gerald (Rhonda) Massie, Barbara (Kim Clippinger) Wallace, and Michael (Emily King) Massie, all of Springfield; brothers Don (Freida) Gates of The Villages, FL, and Jim (Karen) Gates of Canandaigua, NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Glen and Judy Massie; sister-in-law and best friend Barbara Leadingham, all of Springfield; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence “Gerald” Massie; and sister Martha Nels.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 – 8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Judith’s life will be Thursday at 2:00 PM.
