Judith Rita Brown (Mitchell), of Revere formerly of East Boston, passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer and Alzheimer’s, surrounded by her loving family on December 7th at the age of 67. Judith was born in Boston on February 1, 1951 to Dewey Mitchell and Evelyn (Moscatelli). She lived in East Boston for many years and raised her family in the Eagle Hill section of East Boston.

She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Brown. Devoted mother of Mary DeVoy and her husband Ronald Jr. of Braintree, Paula Brown of Revere, Judy Brown of Revere and Tina Brown of Braintree. Dear sister of Barbara Anecone, Robert Mitchell and Carol Sisak and the late Phyllis Mitchell.

Cherished grandmother of Jacquelyn Brown, Kasey Perkins, Jocelyn Brown, Joshua DeVoy and Jayden Brown. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor Judith’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Tuesday December 11th from 4:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M and again on Wednesday morning at 8:30 A.M before leaving in funeral procession to Sacred Heart Church Brooks St., East Boston for a 10:00 A.M funeral mass in celebration of Judith’s life.

Services will conclude with Judith being laid to rest at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Boston. Judith was an avid bingo player. She loved trips down to Foxwoods with family and friends.

She enjoyed baking as well as taking care of her family. She was an a dedicated Boston sports fan and loved the New England Patriots. While her family was important to her, her love of animals was a close second.
