OBITUARY Judy Kay (Martin) Skelton October 21, 1957 – September 4, 2018 Judy Kay Skelton of Etoile passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in Nacogdoches at the age of 60. She was born October 21, 1957, in Nacogdoches to parents Ray and Mildred (Wheeler) Martin. A memorial service officiated by Bro.

Don Chumley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Skelton was a graduate of Martinsville High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught Special Education in Chireno Schools until her retirement in 2012.

Judy was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She loved music and from a young age played the piano and organ in church. Judy loved to fish, travel, and ride horses.

She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Sadie Jean, and watching the deer in her backyard. Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by her father, Ray Martin, and brother, Gordon Ray Martin. Judy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jerry Skelton, of Etoile; mother, Mildred Martin, of Martinsville; daughter, Jody Brown, of Nacogdoches; son, Gordy Brown, of Martinsville; step-daughter, Wendy Skelton and Richard Samarron, of Friona; step-son, Jeremy Skelton and wife Melissa, of Garrison; grandchildren, Matthew Skelton, Grayce Skelton, Abigail Skelton, and Ryan Tarver; and numerous cousins, relatives and dear friends.
