OBITUARY Michael Draven Brucks January 26, 1999 – October 24, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Graveside service for Michael Draven Brucks, commonly known as Dre, age 19 will be 2:00 pm on Monday, October 29 at Fairview Cemetery located in Nacogdoches, TX. His family will officiate the service. Dre passed away on October 24 in Nacogdoches, TX.

He was born on January 26, 1999 in Center, TX to parents John David Oden and Misty Brucks. He is survived by his father, John David Oden; mother, Misty Brucks and step-dad, Sam Snyder; sister, Raven Leigh Brucks; fiance, Diamond Marie Wade Akridge (known as Dre’s Diamond); Paternal grandparents, Lynn Holloway and David Oden; Maternal grandparents, Patsy Kindred and husband Mike Kindred; uncles, Preston Moore, Ryan Dean and Lance Burns; aunts, Denise Watson, Kelly Davis, Wendy Goolsby, Heather Plunkett; cousins, Zack Watson, Breanna Watson, Erik Watson and Sydnie Arbuckle and a host of friends. Michael attended Nacogdoches High School and fully enjoyed being a young man.

He loved gaming, especially Sky Rim and Black Ops. Dre enjoyed hanging with his friends, racing cars and not getting caught, motorcycles, being goofy, and animals especially snakes! He was very good sketch artist and hoped to become a tattoo artist in his future.

His friends called him a gentle giant. He was also known as “Sunshine” to many of his close friends and family. Dre was kind, loving and always made sure people were ok and put everyone else before him.

He was a most loving person. Gone too soon, he will be missed and held dear to our hearts. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.
