Wilmore July 20, 1940 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Julia Ann Wilmore passed away in her sleep on May 20, 2019 due to a recent fall and dementia. She was surrounded by family at the Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia. She was born July 20, 1940 in Emporia, Kansas.

She worked at Dolly Madisn for 25 years and retired in 2000 to enjoy life as the wife of a farmer. There she enjoyed her flower garden, embroidery, watching the birds and deer that wandered through the property. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Clayton and Margaret Smith; her sister and her son, Linda and Nathan Fritz, son, Jeff Kitt; Daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Glenn Grayson, Daughter-in-law, Kathy Kitt; stepson and wife, John and Alana Wilmore; Grandchildren, Clara, Conner, Corbin, Caraline, Brent, Jordan, and Kortney, also 4 great-grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Ellis and Grace Smith, her husband David Wilmore, and her son Brian Kitt, who recently died on March 27th. There will be a combined memorial celebration for Julia and Brian on Tuesday, May 28th at 11:00 A.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. In lieu of flower please consider making a donation to the Americus Library in her name.

Her ashes will be spread at a later date, along with her husband, on their favorite spot.
