Julian “Morton” McArthur age 79 of 997 Pinebluff LakeRoad in Aberdeen went to be with the Lord on May 19,2018 and was surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Aline and Jo McArthur on February 6,1939 in Rowland, NC. He married the love of his life Lena Hazelwood on May 21,1960.

They celebrate 58 years of love and marriage. He was extremely loving and very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a passion for art,an extreme green thumb for growing vegetables and beautiful plants, and a heart of gold.

He was preceded in death by his mother Aline McArthur and his father Jo McArthur and two brothers Bob McArthur and Jim McArthur. He is survived by his wife Lena H. McArthur, three daughters Becky Byrd and her husband Ken Byrd, Dale Arbogast and her husband George Arbogast, Rene’ Oxendine and her husband Israel Oxendine, one son Bobby McArthur and his wife Mary McArthur, eight grandchildren James,Andrew,Stephen, Nicole, Brittany, Cain, Elana and Andrea,two great grandchildren Aiden and Alexa,two great grandchildren to be Ellyanah and Nehemiah and several step grandchildren. One brother Larry McArthur and his wife Doris McArthur, two sisters Betty Jo Humphrey and Francis Clifton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 between the hours of 5:00pm and 6:00pm at Turning Point Worship Center, 16433 US Hwy 15 501. A celebration of his life will follow the visitation. Psalms 121 1-3 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the lord,which made heaven and earth He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
