Obituary for June Foley (McElhiney) June J. (McElhiney) Foley Of Waltham, passed away, Sunday September 23, 2018 at Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham after a long & happy life at the age of 90. Born on June 22, 1928 in Waltham; daughter of the late Allan F. McElhiney and Ruth P. (Rogers) McElhiney. June was a lifelong resident of Waltham, she graduated from Waltham High School class of 1947, she then worked at Grover Cronin’s and Raymond’s Department Store.

Family was the most important aspect of her life especially following all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed sewing, going bowling, trips to Foxwoods, and in her spare time volunteering at the Plympton School Library. Beloved wife of the late William G. Foley.

June is survived by her devoted and loving children Linda Foley Fitzpatrick and her husband the late James R. Fitzpatrick of Waltham and William S. Foley and his wife Jacqueline of Waltham, her cherished grandchildren Erin Fitzpatrick Mattus and her husband Daniel of Burlington, Nicole Foley Fitzpatrick of Newton Centre, Joanna Sudmyer and her husband Todd of Waltham and Ryan Foley and his wife Alicia of Waltham, her adoring great grandchildren Tucker and Hadley Sudmyer, Patrick Mattus and Jackson Foley. Dear sister to David McElhiney of Florida and the late Allan, George, and Richard McElhiney. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service in celebration of June’s Life was held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home private for her family. Interment followed at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Dear sister of the late Allan, George and Richard McElhiney.
