June Meadows Means June 20, 1932 – March 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card June Meadows Figgatt Means, 86, of Norman Park, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Cypress Pond Senior Care in Tifton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Ike Branch officiating.

The family will receive friends and family immediately after the service. Born on June 20 1932, in Page County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William B. Meadows and Reba Rineca Meadows. She retired as an Executive Secretary from All-Temp and was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Means was an avid reader and enjoyed tending to her roses. She raised poodles and shih-tzu dogs most of her life and were her passion. After retiring, she and Mr. Means traveled the country extensively in their R.V. with their beloved pets accompanying them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Leroy Means; brothers, Carrell J. Meadows, and Clifton P. Meadows; sister, Iris Rimel; sister in laws, Janice Meadows, and Marylee Meadows; and brother in law, Raymond Rimel. She is survived by her sons, Bryan S. Figgatt and wife Jodi of Lenox, and Kirk D. Figgatt and wife Wanda of Tifton; daughters, Robin Means Logan of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Sonja Means Derringer and husband Eddy of Glennwood, Indiana; brother, Garland Meadows of Elkton, VA; and sister Louise McCoy and husband Ronald of Harrisonburg, VA; favorite niece, Flo Koontz and husband David of Elkton, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Humane Society of Moultrie & Colquitt County P.O. Box 2915 Moultrie, Georgia 31776 or to Hospice of Tiftarea 618 Central Avenue, Tifton, Georgia 31794.
