Junelle’s Obituary Mrs. Junelle Boyd Roberts, age 86, of Evans, Georgia died on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in an Augusta Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Roberts was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Marcus Leonard Boyd, Sr. and the late Ruby Mae Sumner Boyd. She is the widow of the late Neal Roberts, and was preceded in death by her siblings: Robert Wyman Boyd, Marcus Leonard Boyd, Jr. and Montine B. Seckinger. Mrs. Roberts was a retired administrative assistant with Bell South.

She was a member of the West Acres Baptist Church and the Senior Friends Group. Survivors include: her sons, Mark Yarbrough and his wife Mary of Evans and Rufus Yarbrough and his wife Sharon of Kennesaw; four grandchildren, Christopher Yarbrough, Robert Yarbrough, Kelly Armitage and Morgan Yarbrough; seven great grandchildren, Jacob Armitage, Nicole Armitage, Michael Armitage, Olivia Yarbrough, Wyatt Yarbrough, Evelyn Yarbrough and Leia Yarbrough; and a sister, Gay Boyd Dean of Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 2:00 p.m. on Thursday until the hour of service.

The family suggests that donations be made to Tennille Baptist Church, P.O. Box 402, Tennille, GA 31089. May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements. www.
