KaraLyn Smith Taylor, wife of Art Taylor of Duchesne Utah, died peacefully at home of causes incident to age on May 25, 2019. She was born March 29, 1937 in Roosevelt, Utah to Bruce Vernon and Mildred Pope Smith. KaraLyn married Arthur LeRoy Taylor August 29, 1955 in the Salt lake Temple.

They made their home in Duchesne. They had ten children and raised eight to adulthood. She was an Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings including Relief Society President, Primary President, Visiting Teacher and Ordinance Worker in the Vernal Utah Temple.

KaraLyn was dedicated to her family, supporting her husband in his farm work and church callings. She was a stay-at- home mom and was the true heart of her home. She was an avid reader, talented seamstress and a wonderful cook, especially of homemade bread.

KaraLyn is survived by her husband of Duchesne. Her Children, Karri (Bob) Hoopes of Duchesne, Brian (Vinnie) of West Bountiful, Bruce (Gail) of Rexburg Idaho, TeAnn Taylor of Roosevelt, Eileen (Trent) Potter, Gayleen Denney, Janae (Mike) Rowley and Robbie (Carrie) Taylor all of Duchesne, her sisters, Aileen Oldroyd of Portland and Carma (Chad) Peatross of Duchesne. She was blessed with thirty three grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren and her posterity is growing.

KaraLyn was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Mildred Smith, two daughters, Mildred and JoyLyn, two Granddaughters, Jessica Torrie Taylor and Brittany Taylor, her brothers, Duane and Allan Smith and a sister Audrey Guest. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Duchesne Stake Center at 11:00 am, with a viewing preceding at 10:00.

An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 6:30-8:00 pm at the same location Burial in the Duchesne City Cemetery.
