Karen Dee Gross, 58, of South Haven, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born October 6, 1960 to Kenneth and Rebecca (Gipson) Gross, Sr. in South Bend, Indiana. She worked for over 30 years at South Haven Public Schools where she was not only a favorite Lunch Lady, but also a Grandma to many.

Karen enjoyed watching the Food Network and HGTV, but mostly spending time with her daughter, friends, and spoiling her granddog. She is preceded in death along with her parents by the love of her life – Richard Kellogg, and son – Dustin Kellogg. Karen is survived by her daughter and best friend -Shannon “Shanny” Kellogg (companion Jon Budden), granddog -Daisy Doodlebug, siblings – Kenneth (Kitt) Gross, Jr., Kathryn Nicodemus, Karla Gross, Kevin Gross, and Kerry (Heather Roush) Gross.

Several nieces, nephews, and many special friends, that she considered “Framily”, also survive Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 6:00 PM with Rev. Richard Budden officiating at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in Karen’s memory to Rose Arbor Hospice, 5473 Croyden Ave. , Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
