Karen E. Hurley The angels found Karen at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home on August 30, 2018 and carried her back to her parents William (2006) and Margaret (Goewey)(2016) Hurley. Waiting along with them were her sister Judy A. (2017) and Patrica M (1980). Karen never complained about the cancer that invaded her body-always smiling saying “It is what it is”.

She is survived by brothers Thomas (Jyme) of Shorewood, IL and Robert of Gardner, IL and her Godson Tommy Hurley, Jr. of Gilbert AZ. Karen also leaves behind nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Many, many friends will be lost without Karen’s infectious smile.

Karen will rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park along side her family. Per Karen’s request no services will be held. A private burial with family will be held.

Please consider donating to Joliet Area Community Hospice in Karen’s name. The family is so thankful for the care and kindness shown to Karen by visiting nurses, the social workers and all the staff at Joliet Area Community Hospice.
