Bob J. Hritz, age 65, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Jaqueline Hritz (nee Lake); children, Amanda (Steve) Perion, Joseph (Amanda Groves) Hritz; siblings, Richard Hritz, Jerry (Michelle) Hritz, and Joanne Oddo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Hritz; sons, Christopher and Michael Hritz; and brother, Dave Hritz.

Bob graduated from Joliet East High School and retired from J. Merle Jones International after 35 years of dedicated service. He was the family handy man who enjoyed working on cars and could fix anything that came his way. Bob had a heart of gold, he would never hesitate to lend a helping hand or help someone in need.

He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, listening to rock music and playing the drums. His family meant the world to him and he meant the world to them. Thank you to the staff at Salem Village, Season’s Hospice, Autumn Adult Day Care and Lockport Township Government for the wonderful care and support provided to Bob and his family.

A celebration of Bob’s life will begin on Friday, September 7, 2018 with a visitation at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
