Carla Michelle Hollins was born November 14, 1971 to the union of Willie E. Hollins and Frankie Mae Tyler. She left this life on earth suddenly on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois. Carla was preceded in death by her parents (Willie and Frankie), her sister, Carolyn, brother, Michael; her paternal and maternal grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her son, Geonte Khiree Roberts and her lifelong companion, Clarence C. McNeil; brother, Vincent E. Hollins (Joliet, IL); one sister, Renee Hollins Kelly (Keith) of Huntsville, AL; aunt, Danette Hilliard-Reed of Madison, WI; a step-brother, Reginald Dobson and three step-sisters, Aneesha Dobson, Ann and Vette Abbott. In addition, she leaves two nieces, Owida and Chene McCarter (Joliet, IL); and one nephew, Jeffery Kelly (Jacksonville, FL) as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
