Louie L. Highbaugh Sr. Age 78, passed away Monday November 26, 2018 at his home with family by his side. Survived by his loving wife Caroline “Lacy” (Cotner) Highbaugh; children Sherry Carson, Kathy (Chris) Kane, Athena (Preston) Webb and Louie Highbaugh Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one brother Robert (Darlene) Highbaugh and one sister Linda (Bill) Law. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by a grandson Marcos Figueroa; parents Ewin and Josephine (Decker) Highbaugh and one sister Candy Adams. Born in Braidwood, living in Joliet most of his life. Retired from Material Services.

Member of Welcome Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lemont for 24 years and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 701 for over 30 years. Louie was an avid Cubs, Blackhawks and NASCAR fan. Funeral Services will be held, Friday November 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.

Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
