Betty Jane Arnold Nee: Thompson Age 88, passed away at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Tuesday November 13, 2018. Survived by her two daughters Dora Jane Arnold and Nancy Ann Arnold; sister-in-law Rosemary Thompson; niece Renee Thompson Verburt and nephew Robert Thompson Jr. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Edmund E. Arnold “Buzz”; parents Charles R. and Helen (Friedhoff) Thompson; siblings Robert Thompson and William Thompson.

Born in Quincy, IL, living in Lockport, Joliet and most recently Westmont. She was an artist, designed an American Flag and wrote to Presidents about it. Betty loved Elvis, cooking for the holidays, (well known for turkey dinners) and loved to entertain.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday November 16, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Burgess Square, 5801 S. Cass Ave. , Westmont, IL 60559.
