Obituary of Karen Smith Karen Ann Smith, age 68, of Pottstown, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Seasons Hospice of Phoenixville. Karen was born in Norristown, PA on December 1, 1950, a daughter of the late John D. Litka, Sr. and Evelyn (Smith) Litka. Karen was a lifelong resident of the Collegeville area until moving to Pottstown in 2006.

She was a graduate of Ursinus College. She was an avid collector, especially of Beatles and Star Trek memoribilia. She is survived by her husband, Douglas C. Smith of Pottstown; son, Greg ( & Crystal) Smith of Collegeville; sister, Janet Lyn Howard of Port Allegheny; and grandson, Bradley Smith.

Along with parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, John D. Litka, Jr. Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Providence Mennonite Cemetery, Collegeville.
