Karl Henry Haas, 78, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at his home. Karl was born in Michigan City, IN, on July 27, 1940 to Charles and Lola Haas. Surviving are his children, Michelle Jones of Marion, KY, and Zachary (Amy) Haas of La Porte; 3 grandchildren, Sara, Alex, and Taylor Jones; special lady friend, Sue Brown.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He was also preceded in death by Gracie, his beloved dog of 12 years and best friend. Karl was a retired carpenter.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon (CT) on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 6006 N. Fail Rd. , La Porte, IN 46350.

Pastor Jay Loucks will officiate. A time of visitation will be held from 10 am (CT) until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to La Porte County Small Animal Shelter, 2855 W. SR 2, La Porte, IN 46350.
