Katherine’s Obituary Katherine Ann “Kay” May, 74, Amberg, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018. She was born January 1, 1944 in Green Bay to Harold and Olive (Krielkamp) Joseph. Kay graduated from East DePere High School.

On January 11, 1964, she married Donald May at Kinchelo Air Force Base near Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Kay truly enjoyed being a mom and raising her children.

Once their children were old enough, she started working for the Department of Natural Res. She retired as a customer service representative after 25 years. Kay and Donald then moved to Amberg to enjoy their retirements.

Kay loved all of her Labrador Retrievers. She enjoyed fishing and golfing on the perfect summer day. Kay truly loved being a mother and she adored any time that she could spend with her family.

Kay is survived by her husband, Donald; two children, Lisa Marie (Peter) Prevost, Matthew Harold (Angie) May; four grandchildren, Jacob (Lauren) Witcpalek, Racquel Rockey, Nathan May, Nicholas May; one great granddaughter, Addison Witcpalek; her brother, Harold “Buck” (Annie) Joseph; two sisters-in-law, Linda Immel and Diane (Norbert) Traeger; nieces, nephews and friends. Kay was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Michelle May; two brothers, Eddie and James Joseph; a brother-in-law, Darwin May; and a sister-in-law, Mary Moes. Friends may call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, W8031 Wright Ave, Amberg, WI, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5th.

The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Hephner officiating. Entombment will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to their neighbors and friends Larry and Sue Moureau for always being by Kay’s side throughout her journey. They would also like to extend their thanks to the staff at Unity Hospice. “There are actual angels living in this world alongside of us, some of them serve as nurses at Marinette Bellin Oncology Unit and Oconto Hospital”.
