OBITUARY Katherine E Cox October 23, 1931 – January 9, 2019 Katherine Elizabeth Yukers Cox entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Robert Harmon Cox, Sr. Loving mother of Sandra Kay Hreska (Wesley), Rickey Hileman, Robert “Bobby” Harmon Cox, Jr., and Karen Lynn Cox Bobo. A proud grandmother of Tina Marie Conn (Bill), Michelle Christine Johnson, Bryan Hreska, Jennifer Ann Rakes (Tom), Nicholas Cox, Amanda Lynn Heims (Kirk), Nicholas Anthony Bobo, the late Michael Calvin Johnson and a great grandmother of 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Lucille Ogden Hukel Thomas and Louise Thomas. Sister of Betty Yukers Potter and preceded in death by Mollie Yukers Sellers and Alice Yukers Hukel. She is also survived by her caregiver Jo Ann Lavender, numerous loving nicecs, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 87, a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Chicago, IL and Theodore, AL. Katherine enjoyed her Mardi Gras. At some points she would catch 144 boxes of moon pies along with sacks of beads and stuffed animals.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:30 pm. The interment will be private at a later date.
