Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 11, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at the Funeral Home, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Katherine was born April 22, 1926, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Jasper and Sadie (Bianco) Martino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Kern, in 2018; and her sisters, Virginia Ferrara and Angie Cariddi Survivors include her son, David W. Kern (Carolyn); daughter, Debbie Kern; granddaughter, Mary Katherine Costanzo (Pete); grandson, Matthew Kern; great-grandchildren, Luca and Alivia Costanzo; brother, John Martino; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Sadie Kern; and many nieces and nephews.
