Kathleen’s Obituary Bakke (Barnes), Kathleen Ceceil, age 84 (2/4/35-3/5/19) of Mpls. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. The mom who raised many and Grandma (GamGam) to all.

Preceded in death by husband, Vernon C.; granddaughters, Alana Bakke and Cheramy Burgess-Lozano; parents, Albert and Doris Barnes; sisters, Geraldine Gallup and Donna McGinnis; cousin, Roger Thomas; and son’s fianceé, Marcie Cotter. Survived by children, Terri Bakke (John), Vernon Bakke, Debra Smith (Ralph), Scott Bakke, Melodee Burgess (Tim) and Dawn Miller; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Fleming (Bob), Alberta White and Dody Talbot. She loved children, dogs, making people smile and having fun.

She was all shook up when Elvis married Pricilla, but she got over it with many records, tapes, photos and memorabilia to comfort her. She faced many challenges head on, always doing the best she could for her children, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.

Service Saturday (3/9), 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave. So. , St. Louis Park.

Private interment St. Mary’s. Flowers are welcome but should friends desire, memorials may be made to the family.
