Kathleen Hollman of Bullhead City, Arizona, and formerly of Rothschild, Wisconsin, joined family and friends in Heaven on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 86. She was baptized in the Christian faith in 1931, attended Zion Christian Day School, and was confirmed in 1945. She graduated from Wausau East High School in 1949.

In 2000, she became a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Kathleen loved and lived life to the fullest.

She had an enjoyable career with Marathon County Government as the department head of the Property Assessments and Taxation Department in and for Marathon County. Under her guidance, the department became a model of independence, praised by the state of Wisconsin, and followed by other counties within the state. Kathleen also had other short-term and part-time jobs while raising her children.

One of them included being a driver for the Tiddee Diddee Diaper Service. She enjoyed numerous kinds of volunteer work and oh how she enjoyed the companionship and outings with her Red Hat group. One of her greatest joys was traveling to the homes of relatives or friends, or the numerous tours she had taken with her sister, Shirley, throughout the years.

In more recent years, it was the cruises that kept her smiling. Raising her four children was what gave her the greatest sense of accomplishment. Survivors include her children, Tarrie (John) Rychlinski of Tacoma, Washington; Cynthia (John) Yuhasz of Bullhead City, Arizona; Thomas Hollman of Green Acres, Florida; and David (Jennifer) Hollman of Spring Hill, Tennessee.

She is also the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 30. Kathleen is also survived by sister, Debby (Tom) Zaremba of Wausau, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathleen’s parents, Herbert and Rose; sister, Shirley; grandson, Nicholas; and best friend of 58 years, Lucy, will be there to welcome her at the Gate.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson St., Weston, with Rev. Lance Hoelscher officiating.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 22, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation continues Wednesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
