OBITUARY Kathleen Mae Balg August 4, 1929 – September 25, 2018 Kathleen M. Balg, 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Kokomo while surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born on August 4, 1929 in Converse, Indiana to the late John and Ester Petterson. On July 19, 1975, Kathleen was married to the love of her life, Walter Balg, at Community Bible Church in Greentown, Indiana, and he survives.

She was employed for several years at Delco Electronics in Kokomo and eventually retired from there. Kathleen loved traveling with Walter through European countries. She was a member of In His Image Church in Kokomo and was also a member of the UAW Retirees.

In addition to her husband, Walter, Kathleen is survived by her son, Frederick “Bill” (Stephanie) Miller; sisters, Madonna (Paul) Bender, and Carolyn (Jack) Vrooman; grandsons, Brad Miller and Brian Miller, and great-grandchildren, Jake Miller and Brittany Reed. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by a son, Phillip E. Miller; brothers, Robert Petterson and Newell Petterson; and sisters, Melba Williams, Wanda Hiers, and Angie White. There will be a public visitation for Kathleen at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo on Friday, September 28th from 12-1, with a funeral service immediately following.
