Katie was a member of Bloomingdale Church of the Nazarene where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Abernathy.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Wilson; son, Kad’n Phillips, both of Pembroke; parents, Kenneth and Diana Hatter, of Ellabell; sister, Krystal (Dan) Brady, of Hamilton, OH; brother, Kenneth Hatter, II, of Allenhurst; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
