Obituary of Kathleen Boffa Boffa, Kathleen Marie – 68, of Lincoln, DE (formerly of Beesley’s Point, Marmora) Born Kathy Slavin on February 7, 1950. Kathy passed away at home on October 1, 2018 with her husband by her side. She grew up in Somerton, PA and also lived in Philadelphia, New Orleans, and Deltona, FL.

For 15 years she lived in Beesley’s Point, NJ and later moved to Lincoln, Delaware where she has been residing with her husband since 2010. She was a Medical Technologist in several hospitals and laboratories in Philadelphia, Florida, and New Jersey. She was also an administrator at Seashore Real Estate School in Upper Township, a business she ran with her husband.

Kathy was a dedicated mother. She loved spending time with her family especially being at home and watching her two favorite home sports the Eagles and Phillies. She also was a strong supporter of her local sports teams in Upper Township and Ocean City where her son played on various sports throughout his life.

In 2007, she was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. God granted her much spirit and optimism which helped her into remission and extended her life 11 years. Kathy was always a survivor no matter what life threw at her.

She remained strong and hopeful until the end and loved life and her faith. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, David Boffa; her step-son, Blake Boffa (who she raised and considered as her own); her daughter in-law Melanie Boffa, her three brothers, her son, and her three grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2pm at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 644 South Shore Road in Palermo on Friday October 5 followed by a prayer service.

Her burial will be at the Seaside Cemetery in Palermo after the services. Condolences can be left at www. godfreyfuneralhome.com.
