Kathy L. Mayer, formerly of the Town of Cambria, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home in Spencerport, NY . She was born in Lockport, NY on February 5, 1947, the daughter H. Audrey (Purtell) Mayer and the late Thomas Mayer. Kathy graduated from Starpoint and had attended Brockport State College.

She was employed in the office of Drs. Dudley and Braden Fitzgerald for many years before becoming the secretary for the Town of Cambria supervisor John Kroening from 1981 until 1999. Kathy was a member of the Cambria Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, was involved with 4-H and a den mother with the Cub Scouts.

She enjoyed scuba diving, down hill skiing and riding her bike. Kathy is survived by two sons Jeffrey (Kim) Bye and Jerry Bye, two daughters, Kelly (Daniel Mooney) Bye and Karri (Tom) Wilk, seven grandchildren Ryan, Savannah, Aaron, Ian, Katlyn, Jacob and Marissa, a brother Thomas (Debra) Mayer, Jr., a sister Debra (Martin) Perilli, a sister in law Susan Mayer, also many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Dylan and Matthew Wilk, sister of the late Kenneth Mayer, former wife of the late Michael A. Bye Her family will be present on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY, with the Rev.

James R. Bastian officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to Immaculate Conception Church. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.
