Obituary for Kathy McMurry Kathy McMurry, 57 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Born Thursday, July 6, 1961 in Cincinatti, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leon Leeper and Julia Crick Leeper. She was the wife of John McMurry.

Mrs. McMurry loved God and taking care of her family and her home. She also loved tending to her flower garden. She is survived by her husband, John McMurry of Sparta; daughter, Ashley McDonald (Garry) of Alpine; daughter, Sunshine Leeper of Ashland City; and brothers, Tim and Randy Leeper.

She is also survived by her six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by a brother, Leon Leeper. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with James Dukes officiating.

Family will receive friends from 1pm until the time of service.
