Everling, age 63, of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Monday February 25, 2019 at Golden Living Center in Kokomo. She was born on February 7, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Ray and Lois (Dickerson) Holderman. On February 3, 1979 Kathy married Frankie Everling in a ceremony held in Tipton and they recently celebrated 40 years of marriage together.

Kathy was a 1974 graduate of Tipton High School. She was a member of the Kemp United Methodist Church. In her spare time Kathy enjoyed plastic canvas, plants, sewing and playing cards.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends, especially the times that she babysat with her grandchildren Kathy had worked for many years at the family’s business, Tipton Meat Market, as a meat cutter. She went on to earn her degree as a registered dietician from South Dakota University and pursued a career in that field. Kathy is survived by her husband Frankie Everling, her three daughters; Heidi Berry, Alissa Everling and Natasha Everling.

Other survivors include her grandchildren; Samantha (Andrew), Mason, Riley (Travis), Hannah, Kendra, Danny Joe, Micah, Sadie and Tamera her two sisters; Karen (John) Steiner, Nancy Funcke and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A stepmother, Nancy Holderman also survives along with 8 great grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Ray Holderman and her mother, Lois Lingenfelter, and her brother Mike Holderman.

Visitation is from 4 PM to 6 PM on Friday March 1, 2019 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton. Funeral services will take place at 6 PM immediately following visitation. Pastor Joe Brock will be officiating.

Interment will take place in Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests monetary donations be made to St. Vincent’s Hospice in care of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Kokomo.
