OBITUARY Kay Frances Herring July 16, 1938 – July 12, 2018 Play Tribute Movie NORTHPORT – Kay Frances McCray Herring, age 79, of Northport, Ala. , passed away July 12, 2018. Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Braz Barnette and Wayne Wyatt officiating.

Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Clyde Herring; parents, Columbus and Mary McCray; brother, James Sonny McCray; sisters, Mildred Wyatt, Willie Pearl Martin and Patricia Ann Cochrane; half-sister, Polly Phillips; son, Robbie Bryan Wyatt; and daughter, Daphne Kay Wyatt Hendrix.

Survivors include her sons, Ricky Wyatt (Judy) of Moundville, Ala. and Mike Herring (Robin) of Northport, Ala. ; grandchildren, Autumn Harbison (Kevin), Jason Estes (Alicia), Heath Hendrix (Molly), Daniel Hendrix, Kellen McQueen (Austin) and Bethann Bullard; and great-grandchildren, Davis and Jackson Harbison, Taylor and Tanner Estes, and Magen, Ava Kay and Daphne Hendrix.

Kay was born on July 16, 1938, in Moundville, Ala. She resided in Holt, Ala. for the majority of her life.

She was a long-time member of Holt United Methodist Church. She was a patient caregiver at DCH for many years until she retired. Kay loved her flowers and yard.

She took pride in having a beautiful flower garden. She also love watching birds and listening to the birds sing while drinking her coffee in the mornings. Kay endured much tragedy and sadness in her lifetime.

She was an extremely strong and faithful woman. Kay loved her family with all of her heart. Pallbearers will be Jason Mattison, Kevin Harbison, Ricky Wyatt, Simon Walker, Davis Harbison and Mike Herring.

Honorary pallbearers are previous coworkers at DCH, Walmart Pharmacy Northport, previous neighbors at Demopolis River Village, Manda Stuart, Rhonda Woolbright and Pam Morgan. Condolences may be offered at www. heritagechapeltuscaloosa.com.
