OBITUARY Julia Cox Smith October 10, 1919 – September 24, 2018 Julia Cox Smith, age 98, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away on September 24, 2018, at her home. Services will be held at Heritage Chapel on Saturday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Smith was born in Onaga, Kansas on October 10, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther R. Smith.

She is survived by five children, Judy Elmore of Tuscaloosa, Sally Rice (Ralph) of Samantha, Lynn Smith (Robin) of Brewton, Reggie Smith (Mary Elizabeth) of Northport, Scott Smith (Darlene) of Goodwater; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of West Alabama or to a favorite charity.
