OBITUARY Robert Lee Langham October 31, 1931 – September 8, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Robert “Bobby” Lee Langham, age 86, of Sawyerville, Ala. , died September 8, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev.

Michael Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens, Tuscaloosa, Ala. , with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Survivors include his daughters, Donna Langham Seemann (Jerry) of Huntsville, Ala. and Brenda Hoagland Terry (Fred) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

; brother, Bill Langham (Bobbie) of Cottondale, Ala. ; grandchildren, Chase Hoagland (Rachel) of Birmingham, Ala. , Drew Hoagland of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

, Lee Seemann, Robby Seemann, Matthew Seemann and Mark Seemann, all of Huntsville, Ala. ; and great-grandchildren, Hudson (4), Emma (2) and Sadie (1) Hoagland. Born to James Millard and Mamie Callahan Langham on October 13, 1931, Mr. Langham was the seventh of nine siblings.

Only his younger brother, Bill, survives him. He is a graduate of Akron High School. Mr. Langham is a United States Army veteran of the Korean War (1951-53).

While on active duty, he was the chief maintenance mechanic on Hospital Train 101. The train operated day and night transporting supplies to the front lines and evacuating wounded soldiers from the front lines back to the field hospital. He supported the exchange of sick and wounded prisoners during the war (i.e., Operation Little Switch) and the repatriation of remaining prisoners after the Korean Armistice (i.e., Operation Big Switch).

He was honorably discharged in 1960. After the war, Mr. Langham married Doris O’Neal Mayfield on Christmas day, 1955. He was the owner of Langham Small Motors in Eutaw, Alabama.

His career as a small engines mechanic spanned 64 years with no plans of retiring from the job he loved. Mr. Langham was a member of the Stewart United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Chase Hoagland, Drew Hoagland, Lee Seemann, Bobby Seemann, Matthew Seemann and Mark Seemann, all grandsons of Mr. Langham.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in memory of Mr. Langham to Hospice of West Alabama (3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404) and Stewart United Methodist Church (10291 AL Highway 60, Moundville, AL 35474).
