OBITUARY John Monroe Styers April 17, 1926 – August 28, 2018 John Monroe Styers, age 92, of Kentucky, died August 28, 2018, in Danville, Ky. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Pauline Largin Styers; and daughter, Sharon Elaine Cadwell. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Summers of Ky.

; sons, Douglas Styers of Fla. , Donald Styers of Fla. , and Danny Styers of Ind.

; sisters, Earnest Mae Spencer of Ala. ; and brother, Roland Styers of Ala. A native of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

, Dad was married to Vivian Largin for 70 years, fathering five children, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He served in the United States Navy (Pacific) during WWII and retired from US Steel to Danville, Ky. to be near family.
