OBITUARY Thomas Randall Nixon April 29, 1953 – October 9, 2018 Thomas Randall Nixon, age 65, of Ralph, Ala. , died October 9, 2018, at home. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018, at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd.

East, with Bro. Don Springer officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Anderson Nixon; father, Thomas Nixon; and sister, Lana House. Survivors include his wife, Terry Lamb Nixon; daughter, Kim Reed (Danny), all of Ralph, Ala. ; son, Bryan Nixon of DeKalb, Miss.

; sisters, Sheila Stamps (Alan), Deborah Holloway (Kenny), Nita Beams (Dexter) and Becky Townsend (John); brother, Dennis Long (Barbara); and grandsons, Tyler Reed and Landon Reed. Randy was a devoted husband, wonderful daddy and loving Papa. He was retired after 44 years from B.F. Goodrich.

He served as deacon and Sunday School Director at Grants Creek Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be Houston Lamb, Adam Lamb, Brad Townsend, Joey House, Stephen House and Dennis Wayne Long.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Dubay, Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, Mark and Denise Lamb, Marlin and Elaine Boblitt, Grants Creek Baptist Church, Bro. Jim Roberts, Taylorville Baptist Church, Hannelore Delbridge, employees of B.F. Goodrich, Neil Hobson, Dennis Ingram, Fosters Veterinary Clinic and Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
