Keith Donald “Buck” Griebel, 66 of Calamus, Iowa, died Thursday afternoon, March 7, 2019, as the result of a traffic accident in Clinton County. He was born June 16, 1952, in DeWitt to the late Donald and Marion (Marlowe) Griebel. Buck graduated from Calamus High School.

He drove truck for much of his life. Buck also farmed at rural Calamus. In later years he operated Big Buck’s Barbecue which he greatly enjoyed.

He married Debra Ann Jacobsen, June 16, 1979. The couple resided at rural Calamus where they raised their family. Deb preceded Keith in death October 23, 2006.

Buck enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved his grandchildren and spending time at Mark Twain Lake and Windmill Resort in Stoutsville, Missouri. Surviving are twin sons, Jason Griebel and Jeff (Charity) Griebel of Calamus and Chris (Rebecca) Griebel of Calamus; grandchildren, Chayse Griebel and Kinzie Griebel; step-grandchildren, Brendan, Brianna and Brayden Williams; a sister, Karen (Virgil) Bailey of Davenport.

A gather of family and friends will be held at Steffens Tap, Calamus from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019. Condolences may be expressed and a photo tribute viewed at www. schultzfuneralhomes.com.

Arrangements are in the care of Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound.
