Obituary for Kendall Jay Rhoton Kendall Jay Rhoton was born on October 22, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas, to June (Christerson) and Charles Franklin Rhoton, Jr He died on October 20, 2018, in Enid, Okla. Kendall grew up on his parents’ farm near Keyes, Okla.

He graduated from Keyes High School in 1964. He served in the United States Army in Europe during the Vietnam War, receiving the Engineering Topographic Center award in 1971. He graduated Northwestern Oklahoma State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in May, 1973.

Kendall worked at the George E. Failing Company in Enid, Okla. , until his recent retirement. Kendall was skilled in wood carving, particularly wildlife subjects.

He also enjoyed photography and leather working. He was a serious bass fisherman; he loved nothing more than enjoying the water with his life partner and fishing buddy Barbara, and their Shelties. Kendall is survived by Barbara’s family, David (Michelle) Munday of Houston, Texas; Terell Munday of Enid, Okla.

; Becky Munday of Enid, Okla. ; his sister Peggy (Larry) Begley of Boise City, Okla. ; and brother Henry (Letha) Rhoton of Amarillo, Texas.

Kendall is preceded in death by Barbara Munday of Enid, Okla. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Cremation arrangement are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
