Kenneth June Brown, 82 of Hacker Valley passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was born November 22, 1935 in Marpleton to McKinley J. and Jennie Easter Crowe Brown and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He loved the family get-togethers and just loved people. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting; was a carpenter, mechanic, and an overall jack of all trades. He was a school bus driver for the Webster County Board of Education and a United States Army Veteran.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years Vella Beth Brown; children Danny L. (wife Sharon) Brown of Flatwoods, Brenda Bolar (husband Jim) Harry of Princeton, Gary (wife Reta) Brown of Hacker Valley, Keith (wife Lisa) Brown of Sutton, Kenny (wife Tammy) Brown of Hacker Valley, Karla (husband Matt) Coley of Replete, and Katrina Brown of Hacker Valley; sisters Juanita Mollohan, Rose Morrison, and Edna Nell Bickel; grandchildren Robbie Brown, Joshua Bolar, Asasha Hines, Clayton Bolar, Adam, Courtney, Maddie, Cheyenne, Jordan, Ryleigh, Drake, Bryan, and Logan Brown, Dave Pritchard, Garrett, Hannah, and Devin Coley; a host of great-grandchildren; and many other friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons Dustin Brown and Albert Pritchard; brothers Montie Brown, Hobert Brown, and Bud Brown; and sisters Frances Lunceford and Elsie Sears. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.

Funeral Services to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Cosner officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery on Browns Mountain. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.
